  • Next register a team via your dashboard. Provide the names, grades, and a consent form for all team members.
  • Ensure the adult mentor or teacher completes the team registration form.

Step 2: Parental Consent

Complete the parental consent form to ensure each student has permission to participate in the competition.

Step 3: Create Your Video

Prepare a 3-minute video pitch summarizing your idea for managing space debris. Your video should include:

  • A problem overview explaining the issue of space debris.
  • Your team's proposed solution and its potential impact.
  • Creative use of visuals, models, and animations to support your idea.
Tip: Ensure clear audio and high-quality visuals. Use free video-editing tools like iMovie or CapCut to polish your pitch.

Step 4: Build Your Digital Model

Use accessible tools like Tinkercad or SketchUp to design a digital model that:

  • Illustrates your solution clearly and concisely.
  • Focuses on key features and functionality.
  • Includes high-quality renders or screenshots.
Tip: Highlight the unique aspects of your model with labels or callouts.

Step 5: Create a Business Plan

Outline a plan to commercialize your solution, including:

Step 6: Submit Your Work

Before completing your submission, double-check that you've included:

  • Your video pitch in MP4 or MOV format (The file size should be kept manageable to ensure smooth upload and accessibility).
  • A clear and concise business plan (PDF format, max 3 pages).
  • A digital model with high-quality renders (PNG/JPG/PDF format).
Tip: Name your files clearly using the format: TeamName_School_Year_FileType (e.g., SpaceSquad_MiddleSchool_2024_BusinessPlan.pdf).
